The event brought together government representatives, industry leaders, training institutions, and German companies to advance dialogue on skills development, workforce readiness, and Kenya-Germany labour mobility. It was proudly hosted by AHK Eastern Africa - Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa in collaboration with its project partners iMOVE at the Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung (BIBB) and Didacta Ausstellungs- und Verlagsgesellschaft mbH, at Best Western Premier Westlands, Nairobi

The conference focused on the Kenya National Qualifications Framework, the role of TVET in labour mobility, labour market intermediation, and the growing demand for skilled professionals in Germany.

A key highlight of the event was the MoU signing between the State Department for Diaspora Affairs Kenya and AHK Eastern Africa - Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa, reinforcing our shared commitment to creating structured pathways for skilled talent and strengthening international cooperation.

We were pleased to welcome German companies and organizations including Eggert Kleffmann & Partner GmbH, FiBS RILLL Research Institute on Lifelong Learning/FiBS Afrique, Care Recruiting AG, ADAN Impact GmbH, and Festo Didactic, who shared valuable insights and partnership opportunities with Kenyan stakeholders.

This initiative is part of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) Foreign Market Entry Programme, which supports German companies offering products and services in labour mobility, technical and vocational education and training (TVET), and continuing professional development as they expand their business activities into the Kenyan market.

Thank you to all our partners, speakers, delegates, and participants for contributing to this important dialogue. We look forward to continuing our collaboration to create opportunities for skills development, employment, and economic growth.
