Together with Baden-Württemberg International (BW_i), AHK Eastern Africa - Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa hosted a business delegation 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐁𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐧‑𝐖𝐮̈𝐫𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐲𝐚 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟐𝟐 𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟒 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, with a focus on renewable energy and digitalisation.

The programme combined company site visits, high‑level exchanges and structured B2B networking, providing the Baden‑Württemberg delegates with a practical overview of the Kenyan market and connecting them with potential business and institutional partners across key sectors.

 

The delegation was headed by Philipp Marx (Baden-Württemberg International (BW_i)) and Susanne Glaser (Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism Baden‑Württemberg). It brought together Pamela Amann (Hydi Innovation), @Mamoudou Ba Cisse (CIPON), Dr. Alexander A. Jurack (于安得) (Korntex | High-Visibility Workwear), Parag Sankhavara (Parsetu), Prof. Dr. Ulrich Zeitel (FORUM • Institut für Management GmbH), Philipp Keil (Stiftung Entwicklungs-Zusammenarbeit Baden-Württemberg (SEZ)), Dr. Tobias Adamczyk (Green Space Center Baden-Württemberg), Meshack Kipkemoi and joyce lochuch (Falkenstein Projektmanagement GmbH).

 

Key exchanges included site visits to Sun King (off‑grid solar and PAYG energy solutions with local manufacturing), Octavia Carbon (direct air carbon capture geothermal energy), iHUB Nairobi (a leading platform for digital innovation, tech entrepreneurship and startup support), and Kapa Oil Refineries Limited. Refineries (large‑scale manufacturing with a strong focus on sustainability and resource efficiency).

 

The programme also featured a business dinner with German companies and institutions active in Kenya, a networking reception hosted by 𝐇.𝐄. 𝐒𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐲𝐚, and a business breakfast with Kenyan companies, combining sector insights, company pitches and targeted B2B discussions.
