On Wednesday, 10 February 2026, AHK Eastern Africa - Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa hosted an engaging technical presentation and live product showcase of FLUX Pumps / FLUX-GERÄTE GMBH drum and container pumps in Nairobi.

The highlight of the event was the worldwide launch of the revolutionary FBM 4100 Battery Motor (including the Pro version), described as the world's most powerful cordless drum pump motor with 420 W output, matching corded performance without cables and hailed as one of the smartest and strongest fully cordless options available. This brushless, maintenance-free, highly efficient battery motor offers smart features like an intuitive LCD display for speed control in 10% increments, programmable batch filling for precise dosing without extra meters, dry-running protection, and compatibility with FLUX's 400 series pumps and VISCOPOWER progressive cavity pumps. Weighing just 2.8 kg with batteries, it enables mobile, spill-minimizing operation in remote or socket-free areas (e.g., construction sites, electroplating, agriculture), delivering up to 84 l/min and emptying dozens of drums/IBCs per charge.

The event convened key industry stakeholders to discover advanced, safe, and highly versatile fluid transfer solutions tailored to Kenya’s manufacturing, chemical processing, food & beverage, and broader industrial sectors.

In collaboration with the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM), the session delved into the ongoing evolution of industrial fluid handling, the critical safety, efficiency, and environmental considerations shaping modern production, and the innovative German-engineered technologies driving improved quality, sustainability, operator protection, and market competitiveness.

A heartfelt thank you to the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM), represented by Mr Lawrence Njenga, HSC, Head of Corporate, Marketing & Membership, who delivered the opening remarks on behalf of Mr Tobias Alando, MML, Bsc. CEO of KAM. This set the stage for the presentation by Mr Thomas Lemm, Sales Manager at FLUX-GERÄTE GMBH, and Mr Cris Mbogo, Founder & CEO of Droplex Industrial the authorised Flux distributor in East Africa.
