GIZ Kenyaโs Project Development Programme (PDP) has supported the project from its inception. During the Energy Trade Mission to Kenya, organized as part of the German Energy Solutions Initiative, just like PDP, we connected Nyeri Hill Farm with German companies, creating an opportunity for German technology providers to engage with a promising local project. Ultimately, the project secured financing through UNIDO.

Today, the project is moving from development to implementation.
The GHIC will generate renewable electricity through a solar PV system constructed by Soventix GmbH and produce green hydrogen using electrolyser technology provided by Enapter. The project will produce green ammonia-based fertiliser and medical-grade oxygen, demonstrating how clean technologies can respond to practical needs in ๐๐ ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ก๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก๐๐๐ซ๐. The centre is expected to produce approximately ๐๐.๐ ๐ญ๐จ๐ง๐ง๐๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐ง ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐ข๐-๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐๐ซ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐.๐ ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ฅ-๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐ ๐จ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ง ๐๐ง๐ง๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ, while avoiding an estimated 226 tonnes of COโ annually.
