The AHK Eastern Africa - Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa was honored to be part of the official business delegation accompanying Foreign Minister Dr. Johann Wadephul on his visit to Nairobi. Our Managing Director joined a series of high‑level engagements that further deepened the economic dialogue between Germany and Kenya.
The program included insightful company visits to DHL Kenya and Krones Nairobi, offering a close look at innovative logistics solutions, local value creation, and sustainable industrial practices.A constructive exchange with Kenya Investment Authority (Invest Kenya) focused on opportunities for German companies in Kenya and solutions for key hurdles in the investment and business environment, including regulatory developments, market access, and emerging sectors such as energy, digitalization, and manufacturing.
Another highlight was a roundtable bringing together Germany‑based companies with German companies operating in Kenya, providing a valuable platform to discuss experiences, cooperation potential, and future investment perspectives.
The atmosphere throughout the delegation program was excellent, underscoring the strong momentum in German Kenyan economic relations. We extend our sincere thanks to the Foreign Minister and all partners for the productive discussions and warm cooperation. We also greatly appreciated the close and effective collaboration with the German Embassy in Nairobi and the German Business Association, which contributed significantly to the success of the delegation program.
Today, the delegation continues its journey to Ethiopia, where further exchanges with political and economic stakeholders are planned. The AHKEasternAfrica remains committed to supporting and expanding economic cooperation across the region.
