On Thursday, 13th of August 2026, under the AfricanSkills4Germany (AS4G) project, funded by German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, AHK Eastern Africa - Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa – Tanzania Branch brought together key stakeholders for the 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧–𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐳𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲.

The session provided an important platform for open exchange on the opportunities and challenges surrounding skilled labour mobility between Tanzania and Germany. Discussions covered candidate readiness, German-language requirements, skills and qualification needs, employer expectations, and the importance of having a clear and well-coordinated process for candidates interested in opportunities in Germany.

We also reflected on how AS4G can continue to play a stronger facilitating role by supporting candidate preparation, strengthening coordination among relevant institutions, sharing information on available pathways, and creating stronger links between Tanzanian talent and opportunities in the German labour market.

The discussion further highlighted the importance of continued collaboration between government institutions, training institutions, the private sector, and other stakeholders in building sustainable and responsible labour mobility pathways.

Thank you to all participants for the valuable contributions, practical perspectives, and continued engagement. We look forward to building on these discussions and translating them into concrete actions.
