AHK Eastern Africa was proud to participate in the International TVET Conference 2026, bringing together key stakeholders committed to strengthening technical and vocational education across the region. Through exhibitions, panel discussions, and presentations, the AHK team showcased initiatives in dual TVET, capacity building, German certification programmes, and the Africa Skills for Germany project, which connects Kenyan talent with skills development and career opportunities in Germany.

AHK Eastern Africa - Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa was pleased to participate in the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐒𝐨𝐧𝐚π₯ 𝐓𝐕𝐄𝐓 π‚π¨π§πŸπžπ«πžπ§πœπž πŸπŸŽπŸπŸ”, 𝐑𝐞π₯𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐨̈𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐩𝐒𝐜𝐀 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 πŸ—β€“πŸπŸ π’πžπ©π­πžπ¦π›πžπ«.



The three-day conference brought together stakeholders committed to strengthening Technical and Vocational Education and Training. Discussions explored dual TVET and work-based learning, modern training technologies, green skills, inclusion, financing, assessment, and the recognition of qualifications all essential to equipping young people for meaningful employment and entrepreneurship.

At our exhibition, Caleb Kiprotich and Bruno Backes showcased AHK Eastern Africa - Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa’s work in dualTVET, capacity building, and German certification programmes. Mercy Kathuku presented the Africa Skills for Germany project, which connects Kenyan talent with skills development and career opportunities in Germany.



AHK Eastern Africa - Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa also contributed to the conference programme through Esther Ndichu, who served as a panelist during the session on π“π«πšπ’π§π’π§π  𝐨𝐟 π“π«πšπ’π§πžπ«π¬ 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧-π‚π¨π¦π©πšπ§π² π“π«πšπ’π§πžπ« πƒπžπ―πžπ₯𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. She shared AHK’s experience, lessons learned, and challenges in delivering pedagogy training for in-company and school-based trainers.



Through AHK’s training programmes, 1,100 in-company and school-based trainers have been reached, strengthening their capacity to deliver practical, high-quality, and industry-relevant learning.
