Bavarian Representative Office in Kenya

Since May 2024, the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa (AHK Eastern Africa) has represented Bavaria through the Bavarian Representative Office in Nairobi. This office supports Bavarian companies, especially SMEs, in establishing and expanding business ties in East Africa, with a focus on Kenya. Key activities include promoting foreign trade, facilitating partner searches, and supporting investment projects. Additionally, the office maintains networks with key political and business players, fostering economic cooperation and investment opportunities between Bavaria and East Africa.

The Bavarian Representative Office for East Africa in Kenya has been supporting the foreign trade activities of the StMWi since May 2024 and contributes to maintaining the partnership with East Africa and Kenya in particular.

 

The Representative Office of the Bavarian Economy for East Africa in Nairobi forms a bridge to our neighbors and opportunities on the African continent. Kenya is an ideal gateway to the dynamic East African market. With our representative office, we primarily support our medium-sized companies in establishing and expanding their business relationships in this up-and-coming region.

 

The main objectives of the representative office's activities are Promotion of foreign trade: Promotion of the foreign trade activities of Bavarian companies, in particular export promotion, if necessary, also support in the search for partners, projects, customers and suppliers as well as support for investment projects in Kenya/East Africa. Maintenance of networks: Maintaining contacts at political level, with important interest groups, business associations, clusters, networks and start-up players as well as key companies in Kenya/East Africa and also in Bavaria serves to achieve foreign trade objectives and thus support Bavarian companies as well as location marketing and investor recruitment in Kenya/East Africa.
