German companies operating in Kenya continue to view the country as a strategic gateway to East Africa, according to the latest AHK World Business Outlook Spring 2026 survey. Businesses report strong current performance and remain cautiously optimistic about future growth, with most expecting stable market conditions.
Investment intentions remain positive, with companies strengthening local operations through increased spending, expanded supplier networks, and higher inventory levels to enhance resilience against global disruptions. Despite ongoing external pressures such as rising energy costs and supply chain challenges, around 85% of companies do not plan to relocate operations.
The findings reinforce Kenya’s position as a resilient and attractive regional hub, supported by strong market fundamentals, improving infrastructure, and long-term business confidence.
