On Wednesday, 17th June 2026, the German delegation participating in the Energy Trade Mission on 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 (𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥. 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞) arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, marking the next stage of the mission.
A key highlight of the day was the visit to one of Ethiopia’s largest EV charging stations, operated by ethio telecom. We were warmly welcomed by Fikru Mojo, who provided valuable insights into Ethiopia’s rapidly evolving e-mobility landscape and showcased the company's smart and fast-charging solutions supporting the country's transition to electric mobility.
The day concluded with a welcome reception hosted by H.E. Birgitt Ory, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ethiopia, at the German Embassy in Addis Ababa. The reception provided an excellent platform for German and Ethiopian stakeholders to connect and exchange perspectives in the sector. We sincerely thank Ambassador Ory and the Embassy team for their warm hospitality and continued support in fostering German-Ethiopian business cooperation.
