On Monday, 15th June 2026, AHK Eastern Africa - Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa was pleased to kick off the Energy Trade Mission on ๐๐๐ ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง & ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ (๐ข๐ง๐๐ฅ. ๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐) in Nairobi, Kenya in collaboration with Renewables Academy (RENAC) and supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) bringing together seven German energy companies, Kenyan stakeholders, development partners, and industry experts to discuss opportunities for advancing sustainable energy solutions in East Africa.

A special thanks George Aluru, CEO of the Electricity Sector Association of Kenya (ESAK) who provided valuable insights on the opportunities and challenges surrounding renewable energy, grid infrastructure, and charging infrastructure in Kenya.
