Delegation Trip of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs to Kenya and Rwanda (September 14. –21. 2025 )

This delegation trip is organised by the State of Bavaria – East Africa Office in Kenya on behalf of the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy.

The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy invites you to participate in a high-level delegation trip to Kenya and Rwanda — two of Africa’s most dynamic centres for innovation and digital technology. This journey offers a unique opportunity to explore new markets, build partnerships, and gain insights into the business environments of East Africa.

Kenya, often referred to as the "Silicon Savannah," continues to lead in tech innovation and startup investment across the continent. Rwanda is rapidly emerging as a digital innovation hub, with strong government support and a vibrant, young workforce. Together, these countries provide access to a regional market of over 300 million people through the East African Community.

Key Highlights:

• Visits to pioneering companies, innovation hubs, and research institutions
• Direct engagement with local entrepreneurs, policymakers, and industry experts
• Networking opportunities with Bavarian startups and East African stakeholders
• Insights into ICT, digital transformation, and regional investment trends

The programme will be conducted in English. Participation is limited and subject to selection based on sector relevance and specific interest.

Please note: The Rwanda segment of the trip is subject to political and security conditions at the time of travel. An alternative programme will be provided if necessary.

Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses. Core programme costs will be covered under the Free State of Bavaria’s foreign trade promotion scheme.
