To reinforce the growing economic partnership between Kenya and Germany, AHK Eastern Africa - Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa held high-level discussions with key representatives from the State Department of Trade in Nairobi.

 

Our Delegate, Dr. Monika Erath, was accompanied by Denis Börner from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) and Pius Ogola from the 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲, 𝐍𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐢.



The meeting provided a valuable platform to exchange views on strengthening trade cooperation, boosting investment, and identifying areas for joint action, particularly in industrial development, value addition, and export readiness.



We appreciate the open dialogue and shared vision for fostering sustainable economic growth through strategic public-private partnerships.

    From 15 December 2025 to 23 January 2026, the nationwide economic survey of the Deutscher Industrie- und Handelskammertag (DIHK) was conducted across Germany.     Kenya Launches National Electric Mobility Policy

    Kenya has taken an important step towards cleaner and more sustainable transport with the launch of its National Electric Mobility (e-Mobility) Policy on 3 February 2026 in Nairobi. The policy was officially launched by Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Road and Transport Mr. Davis Chirchir, EGH., in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum.
