Uganda’s coffee industry, a backbone of the country’s export economy, is undergoing a major transformation. Despite challenges caused by global price fluctuations, Uganda remains Africa’s second-largest coffee exporter and a key supplier to Europe.
Uganda has singled out the coffee sector as a pillar for structural transformation and inclusive growth. Notably, Northern Uganda is experiencing a coffee boom, with new investments in Robusta and Arabica farming breathing life into formerly marginalized regions. Alongside this, efforts by the Ministry of Finance to professionalize the sector and improve logistics are helping to unlock Uganda’s full agri-export potential.
What to Expect:
✅ Key reforms and investment rends shaping Uganda’s coffee economy
✅ Opportunities for European importers, technology providers, and financiers
✅ Growing linkages between sustainability, traceability, and trade-readiness
✅ Engagement with actors across traditional and emerging coffee regions
