Strengthening Kenya - Germany Cooperation on Skilled Labour Mobility.

State Department for Diaspora Affairs

Our Delegate, Dr. Monika Erath, and AHK colleague Mercy Kathuku had the opportunity to participate in a high-level dialogue hosted by Diaspora Affairs Principal Secretary, Ms. Roseline Kathure Njogu, alongside Mr. Alexander Fierley, Deputy Head of Mission at the German Embassy in Nairobi.

The meeting focused on deepening bilateral cooperation through the Comprehensive Migration and Mobility Partnership Agreement, with special attention to expanding ethical and structured labour mobility between Kenya and Germany.

The recent launch of the African Skills 4 Germany (AS4G) was highlighted as a key milestone in supporting Kenyan professionals seeking opportunities in the German labour market.

Together with the State Department for Diaspora Affairs | Kenya (SDDA) and the 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 (𝐃𝐏𝐀), we aim to build a strategic framework that streamlines pathways for Kenyans in high-demand sectors such as Hospitality, ICT, and Healthcare.

Our Delegate, Dr. Monika Erath, joined the discussions and reaffirmed AHK’s commitment to supporting this growing partnership.

We thank all stakeholders for their collaboration and shared vision for creating impactful, people-centred mobility solutions.
