The Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa (AHK Eastern Africa) was proudly represented at the AHK World Conference 2025 in Berlin by our Director, Dr. Monika Erath, in her capacity as Chief Delegate.

 

The event brought together leaders from 150 AHK offices in over 90 countries for an invaluable exchange of ideas and to strengthen international cooperation.

 

Over several inspiring days, decision-makers from business, politics, and academia discussed the future of global collaboration. Key topics included digital transformation, skilled workforce development, global trade, and innovation.

 

The conference reaffirmed the strength, unity, and global reach of the AHK network, underscoring our shared mission to foster dialogue and drive progress across borders.

    DIHK Presents Results of Nationwide Economic Survey 2026

    From 15 December 2025 to 23 January 2026, the nationwide economic survey of the Deutscher Industrie- und Handelskammertag (DIHK) was conducted across Germany. Around 26,000 companies participated. The results were presented today at 9:30 a.m. by DIHK Chief Executive Officer Dr. Helena Melnikov during a press briefing.

    Kenya Launches National Electric Mobility Policy

    Kenya has taken an important step towards cleaner and more sustainable transport with the launch of its National Electric Mobility (e-Mobility) Policy on 3 February 2026 in Nairobi. The policy was officially launched by Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Road and Transport Mr. Davis Chirchir, EGH., in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum.
