The Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa, through its service entity AHK Services Eastern Africa Ltd., Tanzania Branch, is executing a program funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV). This initiative, part of the Environmental Technologies Export Initiative, is known as the ‘German-Tanzanian GreenTech Innovation Program for Modernization of the Water and Wastewater Sector’ in Tanzania. The project's goal is to enhance capacities among key stakeholders in Germany and Tanzania to promote the sustainable use and efficient management of water resources in Tanzanian industry and agriculture.

In line with the German-Tanzanian GreenTech Innovation Program, AHK Tanzania has localized and modified the IWAMI (International Water Manager for Industries) teaching concept, initially developed by the AHK Brazil and later adopted as IWAPI (Innovation Workshop Water Projects in Industries) by the Southern African-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to suit the Tanzanian setting by working with renowned professionals in the field. With this background, AHK Tanzania is pleased to invite Tanzanian companies to participate in the IWAMI Training Program.
